A coastal strip which encompasses one the world famous archaeological sites of Paphos. The underground rock-cut tombs and remains of villas with their fabulous mozaics dating from early Roman times are a must for visitors to Paphos.
The main road is crowded with a variety of bars, cafes, shops and restaurants catering to locals and tourists alike including some of the most popular and also expensive restaurants in the region. There are a number of hotels which lie adjacent to the archaeological sites including the most prestigious resort hotel in the area, the Elysium.
